Rhizome of harpagophytum (Devil's Claw)

Harpagophytum is a small plant that grows wild on the African continent. It is traditionally used in herbal medicine for various purposes. Its fruits reminds us of grappling hooks because of the small claws that allow it to cling to all those who approach it and which earned it the nickname of "devil's claw". Its roots contains harpagosides, a natural painkiller.
