Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)
Vitamin B2, or riboflavin, is a water-soluble vitamin essential for energy metabolism, the production of energy from food (carbohydrates, lipids, proteins) and the maintenance of healthy skin, hair, nails, red blood cells and the nervous system. It also plays an antioxidant role, and is necessary for the activation of vitamin B6 and the synthesis of niacin (vitamin B3).
