Inulin and FOS:
Prebiotic fibers that the gut cannot digest and that feed the bacteria in the gut microbiota in the colon. Their fermentation produces short-chain fatty acids.
Psyllium:
Fiber derived from the husks of Plantago ovata, rich in mucilage that swells when exposed to water. It increases the bulk of stool and regulates bowel movements.
Boswellic acid (Boswellia serrata):
An active compound found in Boswellia resin, studied for its effects on inflammatory pathways. It acts on the enzyme 5-lipoxygenase, which is involved in the production of leukotrienes.
