Lithothamnion (Phymatolithon calcareum)

Lithothamnion is a small red algae that grows in buds and has the particularity to crystallize different mineral elements present in the sea. It looks more like a coral, very rich in trace elements, especially calcium, which gives it its remineralizing and basifying properties.
