Native to North America, purple coneflower is now cultivated in all temperate climates. Indian tribes used it to treat various ailments before the arrival of the first settlers, who quickly introduced it into their pharmacopoeia. Green chirette, or andrographis, also known as "Indian echinacea", is a bitter plant that has been cultivated and used for thousands of years in India to support the natural defences.
This dietary supplement contains extracts of echinacea and green chirette, skilfully combined with plant-derived vitamin C, quercetin and L-cysteine. Its high vitamin C content makes it a major asset in supporting the normal functioning of the immune system.

Polyphenols (Echinacea):
The polyphenols in echinacea include phenolic acids and caffeic acid derivatives. They interact with cellular defense mechanisms and free radicals. These are the active constituents of the whole plant.
Andrographolides (Green Chirette):
Andrographolides are bitter diterpenes derived from green chirette. They interact with signaling pathways involved in the immune response.
N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC):
N-acetyl-L-cysteine is a stabilized form of cysteine. It provides the rate-limiting substrate for glutathione synthesis. It thins bronchial secretions by breaking disulfide bonds.
Quercetin:
Quercetin is a polyphenolic flavonoid found in many plants. It interacts with free radicals and certain enzymes involved in inflammatory processes.
