D-Mannose:
D-mannose is a non-metabolized monosaccharide that is rapidly absorbed and then excreted in the urine. It binds to the fimbriae-type adhesins of E. coli and blocks their attachment to the urothelium. This targeted interaction has no effect on blood glucose levels or the microbiota.
Proanthocyanidins:
Type A proanthocyanidins bind to the fimbriae of E. coli and prevent them from attaching to the urinary tract walls. They modulate bacterial adhesion without having a direct antibacterial effect. Cranberry-specific polyphenols, standardized for PAC A.
Common Heather:
Common heather provides flavonoids and phenolic compounds that target the urinary epithelium. It modulates the local environment without causing irritation. A plant extract used to support urinary elimination.
