The brain is one of the most omega-3-rich organs. DHA's influence on cerebral physiology is manifold. It is involved in the regulation of neurotransmission, neurogenesis, cerebral energetics and neuroprotection. While new research suggests that a deficiency in omega 3 predisposes to the onset of attention disorders or depressive states, today we can affirm that the daily consumption of 250mg(1) of DHA contained in omega 3 contributes to normal brain function.
This Sekoya preparation is distinguished by the presence of astaxanthin, an antioxidant derived from Haematoccus pluvialis algae, natural vitamin D, which supports immune system function, and natural vitamin E, which protects cells from oxidative stress. Good for the head, Omega 3+ also supports normal heart function.

Why does the brain need omega-3?
The brain is composed largely of lipids, including DHA, an omega-3 fatty acid found in the membranes of neurons. This lipid maintains the flexibility of these membranes and facilitates the transmission of signals between nerve cells. When omega-3 intake is insufficient, this communication becomes less efficient, which can affect attention and memory.
What is the difference between EPA and DHA?
EPA and DHA are both omega-3 fatty acids, but they do not act in exactly the same way. DHA is a structural component of the brain and neuronal membranes; it plays a role in communication between nerve cells and in cognitive functions. EPA has a greater effect on inflammatory processes and blood circulation, particularly in the cardiovascular system.
